Speaking Out For Immigration Justice

Hello, HUUMS companions! The HUUMS Board announced last month that we will be making a programming priority for supporting immigration reform this academic year. We hope you will join us on this prophetic journey in anticipation for the Phoenix General Assembly in 2012 (and beyond). We plan to coordinate immigration reform-related events throughout the school year, and we’re starting with this event on Sunday:

Keep Immigrant Families Together

Stop the Raids and Deportations

Prayer Vigil for Immigrant Detainees

Sunday, Nov. 6th, 2:00 p.m.

Suffolk County House of Correction

20 Bradston St., Boston

For more information about the vigil, contact our facebook page, or email SocialAction@ascboston.org

Sponsored by Boston New Sanctuary Movement and Student Immigrant Movement (SIM)

Called By Our Faiths
To Welcome the Stranger

We would love to have you join us and the Boston New Sanctuary Movement this weekend! We’ll be carpooling to the House of Corrections from Harvard Divinity School at 1 p.m. If you would like to carpool with us to the vigil, please RSVP by Friday afternoon to Social Outreach Chair Dave Ruffin at druffin at mail dot harvard dot edu

See you there!
